Abstract: AIM: newline To compare the Occlusal contact load and chewing efficiency into newlineCAD created occlusal Anatomy to Conventional Hand layered Ceramic newlineAnatomy in FPD using Digital Occlusal Analysis. newlineMATERIALS AND METHODS newline The present study was conducted in the Department of newlineProsthodontics, Saveetha dental college between August 2021 to newlineMarch 2022. Ethical clearance was obtained from the SRB committee, newlineSaveetha Dental College, Chennai, India and included patients who newlinehave undergone Fixed Dental Prosthesis. The trail was registered in newlineCLINICAL TRIALS REGISTRY-INDIA (CTRI/2022/03/040719). newlineTwo groups were present in this study i.e monolithic and hand newlinelayered.A total of 30 samples of 15 each were made under each group. newlineTooth preparation was done under local anesthesia. Gingival retraction newlinewas performed and impressions were made with polyvinyl siloxane newline(Zhermack, USA) impression material. Temporary fixed partial dentures newlinewere fabricated using indirect technique and were cemented with newlineTemporary cement (Tempbond 3M). newlineThe model is scanned digitally using the 3-shape Lab scanner. newlineThis scan was then used to design a Monolithic crown and a coping newlineframework using 3Shape (3 Shape Copenhagen, Denmark). The newlineframeworks were designed as copings and full anatomical crown newlinefollowing the 3-Shape digital library and the STL files were obtained. newlineThese crowns are evaluated in patients mouth and T-Scan evaluation newlinedone in both preoperatively and post operatively in both crowns and newlinechewing efficiency is evaluated using spectrophotometer by chewing a newlinegum for 60 strokes and evaluating it using change in delta e values. newlineDifferences in preoperatively and post operatively were analysed using newlineoneway Anova and independent t test. newlineRESULTS newline There is a significant difference in the MIP and Laterotrusive values newlineof Monolithic and Hand layered crowns as (plt0.05). But there is no newlinesignificant differences (pgt0.05) in the chewing efficiency of both newlineMonolithic and Hand layered. newline
