Abstract: newline The present study entitled Economic aspect of Garlic cultivation in Etawah District newlineUttar Pradesh was performed in Etawah district of western Uttar Pradesh through newlineproportionate cum random sampling on 120 respondents. Results reveal that the gross newlineincome per hectare in garlic was observed maximum under small farms of Rs. 188748.00 newlineon due to intensive cultivation and more use of human labour. Whereas on overall average, newlinenet income was found Rs. 122269.38 per hectare in the study area. Cost of production per newlinequintal of garlic was computed to Rs. 1079.58, on medium farms. Input-output ratio related newlineto cost C, was highest on marginal farms (1:3.99). The garlic crop R² was found to be 0.929 newlinewhich means that 92 per cent of the variation in the yield was explained by independent newlinevariables which were found significant in terms of marginal farms. MVP value of various newlineinput used in garlic crop grown in Takha and Basher block revealed that in case of garlic, newlinelabour in case of marginal farm and manure and fertilizer in case of small farms showed newlineMVP less than unit which means that these resources were overused, so their use should be newlinereduced. Total disposal of garlic was 133.88 quintals out of which disposal of garlic by newlineChannel-I, Channel-II, Channel-III, came to 10.79, 35.01 and 88.08 quintals, respectively. newlineThe highest net price received under Channel-I due to farmers was sell produce direct to newlinethe consumer in the local area. The marketing efficiency of garlic under Channel-I (26.43) newlinewas found more efficient as compared to other channels. The producer s share in newlineconsumer rupee was found maximum in garlic 96.35 per cent in Channel-I which was newlinemaximum. It was observed during investigation that in the production of garlic top most newlineproblem faced by the farmers were Non-availability of Credit (51.40) and Assistance by
