dc.description.abstract | A field experiment on Biofortification of hybrid maize (Zea mays L.) with zinc, iron and organic manure in relation to productivity, quality and soil health was conducted at student s Instructional farm, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur during Kharif season of 2019 and 2020. The soil of the experimental field was sandy loam in texture, alkaline in nature having pH 8.20, E.C 0.36 dsm-1, low in organic carbon (0.422%), available nitrogen (207.0 Kg ha-1), medium in available phosphorus (13.60 Kg ha-1) and available potassium (142.0 Kg ha1), deficient in available sulphur (15.60 Kg ha-1), available zinc (0.530 ppm ha-1) and available iron (3.96 ppm ha-1). There are three factors comprises different levels of nutrients factor-1 two levels of organic manure (No vermicompost and 2.5 tonne vermicompost ha-1), factor-2 four levels of Zinc (Zinc 0 Kg, 2.5 Kg, 5.0 Kg and 7.5 Kg ha-1) and factor-3 four levels Iron (Iron 0 Kg, 5.0 Kg, 10 Kg and 15 Kg ha-1) comprising 32 treatment newline | |
