Influence of plant growth regulators on the regeneration of pomegranate by stem cuttings under North Gangetic Plains

Abstract

The present investigation Influenceofplant growth regulators on newlinethe regeneration of pomegranate (Punicagranatum L) by stem newlinecuttings under NorthGangetic Plains was conducted during 2019-20 newlineand 2020-21 at the Horticulture Garden, Department of Fruit Science, newlineChandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, newlineKanpur (U.P). The investigation aimed to meet the need of following newlineobject. newline1. To find out the most effective treatment for regeneration of newlinepomegranate cultivar through stem cuttings. newline2. Tofind out best survival of stem cuttings in nursery. newline3. To find out suitablecombination of IBA, NAA and GA3 alone or in newlinecombination for rooting and growth parameters of stem cuttings of newlinepomegranate. newline The experiments were conducted in a Randomized Block Design newlinewith 18 treatments with four levels of IBA and NAA i.e. 3000, 4000, newline5000 and 6000ppm. One level of GA3 2000ppm was taken alone as well newlineas with combination of both hormonal doses. Control was taken as water newlinespray. The data were taken adopting standard prescribed technique and newlineprocedure. The laboratory estimations were conducted in the department newlineof soil science and Agriculture chemistry and Bio-chemistry.
