Abstract: | An experiment was carried out in the garden, Department of Horticulture, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (U.P.), India, during the two consecutive years 2015-16 and 2016-17 to study the Influence of Integrated Nutrient Management on vegetative growth, fruit yield, quality attributes and shelf-life of papaya (Carica papaya L.) . For this plant of Sapna cultivar was planted on 20th March during both years of experimentation at a spacing of 2.0 x 2.0 m. There were eighteen treatments comprising Azotobacter, PSB and vermicompost in different doses with graded dose of RDF including one control, replicated thrice in randomized block design. All treatments were applied at the time of planting in the field. The data for both years of experiment were analyzed which clearly shows that during both years of experimentation increased plant height, girth, plant spread from North to South and from East to West direction, number of leaves with maximum length of leaf, font area, number of functional leaves at the time of fruiting, more biomass production (green weight), increased number of flowers and number of fruits set per plant, fruit retention per cent, fruit yield of longest fruits having more width, weight and volume along with more pulp and number of seeds per fruit with reduced fruiting height, minimum number of nodes and minimum number of days taken to first flowering and reduced fruit developmental period, fruit drop and peel content were recorded with the application of RDF 75% + Azotobacter 100 g + PSB 100 g + vermicompost newline |
