Abstract: The work carried out in my research tenure has been compiled in the form of a thesis entitled Design, Synthesis and Cytotoxicity Evaluation of Combretastatin Based Heterocyclic Compounds and Development of New Synthetic Methodologies for Bioactive Molecules . The main aim of this work is to demonstrate design and synthesis of novel combretastatin based heterocycles conjugates and evaluation of their cytotoxicity potential against selected cancer cell lines along with tubulin inhibition affinity. Apart from this, it also deals with the development of efficient C-H activation methods for the functionalisation of bioactive and#946;-carbolines and isoquinolines. newline
