Abstract: The research titled Customers perception towards the role of Uttarakhand Gramin Bank in rural development in the state of Uttarakhand: An Empirical study has been carried out by the researcher. The objective of the study was 1. To know about the Perception of customer s towards the government schemes and Programs initiated by Uttarakhand Gramin bank in rural areas of Uttarakhand. 2. To study its functioning and the impact of its financial assistance on rural development of rural areas in the state. 3. To examine its impact on the creation of self-employment opportunities for rural youth in the state of Uttarakhand. newlineRural banks are set up with the view to develop the rural economy by providing credit for the purpose of development of agriculture, trade, commerce, industry and other productive activities in the rural areas.The study emphasis on the effectiveness of Uttarakhand gramin bank in rural development. In this study, research methodology comprises of a series of steps which is designed and executed by the researcher in such a way that it helps in finding answers to the issues of a concern. In this research study, the researcher has prepared a structured questionnaire for the collection of data from at least 501 respondent which comprises of customers in Uttarakhand. Research was done by using the Convenient Sampling Method. A Questionnaire was prepared keeping in mind the research objective. newlineThe interpretation of the collected data was based on various statistical techniques such as measures of central tendency, Factor Analysis, Regression Analysis, graphs, charts, etc. was used for the analysis of the data. Thus, Data analysis was done using the factor analysis for identifying significant cost drivers and the development of the framework was done using multiple regressions. newlineThe entire study is divided into seven Chapters. This chapter has provided information related to the entire study of the research problem. The findings of the study is based on the analysis and interpretation of the data collected.
