Abstract: Power system has the advantages of integrating distributed generators (DGs) closer to load centre. This offers efficient operation throughout the system. The DGs have a narrow voltage regulation competence property because of their small capacity compared to conventional power sources. Integration of DGs is considered as a way to reduce dependency on decreasing fossil fuel supplies and to boost energy security. Power system can be converted as eco-friendly with the strategies of eliminating pollutant emissions to rising power demand with DGs. Various issues, like the nature of DG technology, its influence on power system operational characteristics, and economic concerns, must be considered when building a power system with DGs. With this consideration, to accomplish efficient power system operation, it is crucial to select the optimal size and location of DGs in distribution systems. Furthermore, the process of optimum DG selection entails time-consuming computational methods. Recent software developments have made this easy to analyse with optimization work. This research work analyses the significance of incorporating appropriate DG size into the optimum location. At the power system planning stage, the network engineers also think about long term load scheduling and forecasting with the incorporation of DGs that can easily derive power from on-spot pollution-free renewable energy sources. Since conventional power sources are located far away from the load centers, distribution systems can be analysed with a lot of combination of objective functions. newline
