Electric motors are being used in our daily life for various applications. Electric motors make human works very easy. Maximum amount of power generated is being used for driving Motors. In recent years, the advanced power electronic techniques ease the variable speed operation of motor quite friendly to be employed in domestic and commercial purposes. The optimized energy usages of motors are essential for saving electric power. Induction motor is gaining popularity among various types of motor systems available in market, because of its economical range, low maintenance operation, reliability and good performance. The voltage source inverter with suitable pulse width modulation technique provides a better speed variation in induction motor. An optimal control strategy is important for the efficient control of induction motor drive system. The real motor parameters greatly influence the control strategy employed. Most of the motor parameters are affected by the motor heat, current amplitude and inverter frequency. Rotor resistance and thermal deterioration of insulation are some of the issues to be considered for better operation of motor control strategy. Thermal deterioration is mainly caused by very high stator current, and due to some faults in motor parts. The performance of Induction motor is very sensitive at low speed, oscillations may occur due to unbalanced current. Additional support is required for finding the optimal solution to manage Induction motor drive. newline
