dc.description.abstractThe present research aims to study the phytochemical screening, antidiabetic and antihyperlipidemic newlineproperties of Abutilon indicum (L.) extracts through in vitro studies newlineusing RIN-5F and 3T3-L1 cells and in silico modelling. newlineDiabetic Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease that is a major concern in the world. In newlinecontrast, the risk of death from any of the four major non-communicable diseases, i.e., newlinecardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease, or diabetes, is significantly newlinehigher. Historically, traditional medicine has existed since the dawn of civilization. A newlinewide variety of modern treatments have been developed from environmental assets, newlineparticularly those of plant origin and nature has been regarded for centuries as a newlinetreasure trove of therapeutic compounds. Certain types of plants are used in newlineAyurvedic, Allopathic, Unani and Siddha medicine to treat various ailments. newlinePhytochemicals have a significant impact on the human prevention of illness. They newlineare mainly composed of vital nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates, and newlineminerals, as well as other substances that are necessary for good health. Tribals and newlineindigenous peoples use the stems, leaves, flowers, seeds, and roots of the plant newlineA.indicum leaf to treat a wide range of diseases. Researchers have attempted to newlinevalidate the effectiveness of the plant by scientific biological tests in response to newlinediverse folklore for cures of various ailments. The qualitative analysis of A.indicum newlinemethanolic leaf extract revealed the presence of various phytochemicals. Medicinal newlineplants contain a variety of phytochemicals, although these phytochemicals differ from newlineone plant to another, and geographical location also plays a significant role. Our GCMS newlineanalysis of methanolic extract of A.indicum revealed the presence of 11 bio-active newlinecomponents and these compounds were used for in silico studies to check their anti- newline- - glycosidase) and anti-lipidemic newline(Pancreatic lipase, Fatty acid synthase, HMG-CoA Reductase and SREBP1c) target newlineproteins.
