Abstract: Language is a vital instrument for human empowerment. Not only humans but animals also communicate in the language. Hence, it is indispensable to develop and use language effectively, which helps build healthy interpersonal relationships at home, school, and the workplace. Vocabulary development is an important element of communicative competence and is a core component in language mastery. It has been observed that teaching and learning vocabulary is a constant challenge for both teachers and students. Likewise, there has historically been little emphasis on vocabulary learning in the ESL classroom. Several academics recognize that game use is one of the tools that can help students develop an interest in learning the second language vocabulary through play and activities with other students newline
