Abstract

Library automation software in the beginning was developed by the computer newlineprogrammers or engineers, therefore, various norms, standards, conventions, etc. that newlineform the base for the library activities were not followed as they were not acquainted newlinewith the library practices, standards, and conventions. Either the library professionals newlinewere ignored or their role was very limited while developing the library automation newlinesoftware in the initial stage. This was also the reason that library automation software newlinewas not able to solve the actual problems of the library. However, of late, the newlinedevelopers of library automation software realized that the role of librarians is newlineindispensable in any successful library automation software development project. newline
