Development of Self Instructional Module on Menstrual Education

Abstract

Menstruation is a natural physiological process of a female body like other newline(respiration, digestion etc) but still it is compounded by shame, secrecy, taboos and myths newlinethat prevent girls and women to participate in their daily socio-cultural life. In almost all newlineculture and religion (except sikhism), there are social and cultural rituals, norms and practices newlineabout menstruation for girls and women. Such taboos and myths about menstruation impact newlineeducation and health of girls. newline
