Abstract: In today s age of Too Much Information, issue of attention scarcity has been created by media technologies that try every trick to capture our attention. Out of all these, New Media technologies such as the Smartphone, Internet and Social Media are the most popular medium across the world. Their widespread usage is a cause of concern as people especially teenagers are spending huge amount of time on their screens for various gratifications. In fact, in 2020, Indians were spending 3 hours 30 minutes on smartphone while the world s average was 3 hours 40 minutes. Also, the highest penetration rate among smartphone users in India was in 16-24 years age group (37%). (Mobile Ecosystem Forum). newline
