Abstract: Corporate governance as a topic has gained global upsurge both in academia as well as in corporate level. Corporate governance and its association with firm performance is indicated in previous literature studies. However empirical evidence for such association between CG and FP is both inconsistent and conflicting. Corporate governance is mandatory for companies listed in India. SEBI, Clause 49 of the listing agreement briefly explains the corporate governance standards which have to be mandatorily followed by the companies. Hence the present study aims to conduct the corporate governance practice followed by the companies and its impact on the firm performance. newline
