Abstract: In recent times, home automation is preferred to be important addenda in modern homes for several purposes like safety, security etc.The industry professionals and researchers are developing efficient and economically affordable automatic systems for monitoring and controlling various appliances such as lights, air-conditioner, ventilators, etc. Automation not only uses electricity and water in an efficient manner, but it also reduces waste. newlineThe smart home concept is studied and developed in recent years and is now an ultimate concept that refers to different characteristics of human lives and has been regarded as a smart living. Due to the fact that a large part of people live at home, Smart Home is one of the major smart areas. Technology provides several solutions that impact human lives with a quaLi-Fied life. This helps to raise concerns about wireless radio technology, in which it affects human health. Studies related to Smart Homes have technical problems including lack of remote interoperability and high energy consumption. The proposed method uses an enhanced architecture with Wi-Fi / Li-Fi communication in the smart home to solve these typical challenges. newlineIn this study Wi-Fi / Li-Fi is used to decrease latency by increasing the transmission speed of Home Automation local gateway networks. With its architecture, invasive system installation, and poor interoperability, WLAN communication system for home automation systems is increasingly complex. newlineThe use of Li-Fi communication technology has reduced the system cost and intrusive system installation in home automation systems. Furthermore, the adoption of the home portal reduces the problems linked to poor device interoperability. newline
