Around 1 billion of the population are suffering with Vitamin D deficiency worldwide (OmeedSizar et al, newline2020). In India, the overall vitamin D deficiency prevalence was high and it ranges between 40 to 99%. newlinewhile other studies reported the prevalence rate of about 80 to 90%. Studies of community based studies newlineon current status of vitamin D deficit ranges between 50-94% and the hospital based research studies newlineidentified that vitamin D deficiency prevalence ranges between 37 to 99% . (Aparna et al, 2018) In current newlinescenario of the world s total population, majority of them are suffering with insufficient Vitamin D. There newlineis a need to develop comprehensive approach to minimise the issues among men with sub fertility. About newline30 -50 % of partners are afflicted from impotence owing to the male factor etiology. The majority of sub newlinefertility in men are due to the alterations seen in the semen analysis report (mainly with low sperm count, newlinedecreased motility, abnormalities seen in the sperm shape and size). It has been identified that many sub newlinefertile men undergo various Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) to have a child resulting in newlinefrustration and financial crisis. It is popularly believed that but empirically difficult to prove that oral newlinevitamin D supplements improves the seminal parameters. Understanding the value of quantitative newlineapproach to answer the objectives laid down, the investigator identified that a quantitative research newlineapproach will be more suitable to quantify the need of this present intervention. As vitamin D plays a vital newlinerole in sperm functioning by improving the spermatogenesis and fertility outcomes in the sub fertile men newlineand therefore it was found relevant inassessing the effectiveness of Vitamin D supplementation in newlineimproving sperm count, motility and morphology forthe sub fertile men newline
