dc.description.abstractAdvancements in the field of Computational Intelligence equip the researchers to develop Computer Aided Diagnosis systems for clinical assistance. Alzheimer s disease (AD) is a gradually developing brain illness commonly affects the elderly people. It degenerates the brain cells leading to newlinethe problems of memory loss, impairment in thinking, behavioural changes and finally to death. The definitive detection of developing AD is possible by detecting atrophies caused by beta amyloid and tau protein deposition in brain tissues using invasive detection procedures. New inventions in biomedical imaging techniques have revolutionized the non-invasive diagnosis of AD. The investigations on functional, structural and molecular changes of the brain to diagnose AD gets the benefits from the medical imaging modalities. In this regard, an attempt to explore the possibilities of combining various image classification techniques to detect AD has been done in this work newline newline
