Abstract: Metamaterials are an engineered periodic structures comprises of newlinemetals and dielectrics layers. Metamaterials have exotic properties with newlinenegative refractive index which are not available in natural materials. The newlineelectric resonance and magnetic resonance can be manipulated by tailoring newlinethe effective medium parameters such as permittivity and permeability. By newlinetailoring the electromagnetic properties of these structures, many applications newlineare found in antenna systems, sub-wavelength imaging, perfect lens, newlineabsorbers and cloaking. The metamaterial absorbers (MMA) prohibit the newlinereflections and transmission by absorbing the energy of incident waves. newlineRecently, research on MMA s have the span over the entire frequency regime newlinefrom microwave to visible and from infrared to THz. newline
