dc.description.abstract | Developing clean and efficient energy conversion devices such as fuel cells, water newlineelectrolyzers and metal air batteries is considered one of the thrust areas of research. The newlinecore of these devices lies on a series of electrochemical processes, which includes oxygen newlinereduction reaction (ORR), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution newlinereaction (OER). Technically, all these reactions require noble metal-based catalysts; such newlineas Pt for ORR and HER, and Ir and Ru for OER which constrained these technologies newlineinside the walls of laboratories. Therefore, designing low cost earth abundant newlineelectrocatalysts to substitute these expensive noble metals has gained tremendous newlineattraction among the scientific communities and hence, opened up a new area of nonnoble newline | |
