Abstract: The present study titled, Assessment of Personal-Social Qualities of Learners newlineat Elementary School Level in the Context of Continuous and Comprehensive newlineEvaluation Scheme was conducted: (i) to study the present status of assessment of newlinepersonal-social qualities of learners at elementary level and (ii) to ascertain the newlineawareness and perception level of different stakeholders about assessment of personalsocial newlinequalities. Descriptive survey design with convergent parallel design was used for newlinecarrying out the investigation. The population of the study comprised of all the newlineelementary school teachers, head teachers, students, parents and SMC members of newlineOdisha. The sample consisted of 36 head teachers, 155 teachers, 160 parents and SMC newlinemembers and 360 students selected through stratified-random sampling and purposive newlinesampling techniques. The data were collected with the help of self-developed newlineinformation schedule, awareness test, interview schedule and focus group discussion newlineguidelines from the key informants. Both descriptive (Graphs, Percentage, Mean and newlineSD) and inferential statistics (t-test and ANOVA) are employed for quantitative data newlineanalysis. Qualitative data were analysed with the help of content analysis and newlinetriangulation method. The major findings of the study are as follows: newline(i) CCE Scheme has been implemented in all the elementary schools of Odisha newlineafter the implementation of RCFCE Act, 2010. newline(ii) All the aspects of PSQs have been assessed by the elementary schools of newlineOdisha through 3-point grading system (A- Excellent, B- Good and C- Need newlinespecial attention). newline(iii) All the respondents have acknowledged the benefits of assessment of PSQs by newlinegiving the similar views that through the assessment of PSQs, the true aim of newlineeducation i.e. all round development of personality of the child and training of newlinedemocratic citizenship can be fulfilled. newline(iv) Regarding the new form of evaluation (CCE), all the respondents have newlineexpressed their liking towards CCE against the traditional evaluation system. newlineThe assessment of PSQs
