Abstract: The need of the study is summarized below newlineand#61623; There is a growing trend of increasing infertility globally affecting newlinemillions of individuals and couples in their reproductive age. newlineand#61623; Reproductive problems affect the physical and mental health of newlineindividuals or couples experiencing infertility. newlineand#61623; The ART provide a remedy for infertility issues. There has been a lot of newlineattention given to improving the success rates of these technologies. newlineThe goal of IVF is to help the infertile couple to achieve a healthy live newlinebirth. newlineand#61623; The success of IVF depends on the selection of the most viable newlineembryos for transfer. newlineTransfer of embryos at the blastocyst stage is one of the best newlineapproaches of improving the pregnancy outcome as it demonstrates newlinebetter endometrial and embryo synchronicity. newlineand#61623; The decision on the ideal number of blastocysts for transfer with a newlinereduced risk of multiple pregnancies is more relevant. The identification newlineof blastocysts with the highest implantation potential can facilitate newlineelective single embryo transfers. newlineand#61623; The routinely practiced selection method is based on the morphology newlineof blastocysts. The novel embryo selection methods based on various newlineother biomarkers are yet to be validated for clinical use. They may be newlineinvasive and add additional cost to the participants. newlineand#61623; Prioritizing the blastocysts using morphological markers has been newlinestudied and the reports available in the literature are heterogeneous. newlineand#61623; The association of the three major morphological features of a newlinedeveloping blastocyst, the inner cell mass (ICM), the trophectoderm newline(TE) cells, and the degree of expansion of the blastocoel cavity and newlinetheir predictive potential of IVF outcome have been independently newlinestudied. newlineand#61623; The morphological characteristic with the highest probability of newlinepredicting success is still under evaluation. newlineand#61623; ICM develops into the fetus whereas TE forms the placenta. Reports newlinedemonstrated the use of either of them as an independent predictor. newline
