Abstract: Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) function using several data rates for Qualityof- newlineService (QoS)-constrained multimedia transfer will effectively reduce resource newlineutilization. Multicasting is typically defined as the simultaneous data transfer between the newlineorigin and multiple targets. To accomplish this, constructing a multicast tree is far more newlineefficient than independent transmission of similar data between the origin and the targets. newlineA delay-sensitive multicast routing is required for these transfers because the newlineneighborhood of a host varies in those networks, One-Hop and end-to-end delays (e2D) newlineshould be measured during the construction of a delay-sensitive multicast tree which has newlinehigh complexity issues. newlineTo address this issue, the Delay-Sensitive Multicast (DSM) routing protocol was newlineproposed, which estimates one-hop delay based on the busy/idle fraction of the distributed newlineradio channel. A multicast tree was also built to adjust transmission data rates and reduce newlineEnd to End Delay (e2D). Different metrics, rather than delay, are required to further newlineimprove network performance. Taking into account the aforementioned issues, this newlineresearch work proposes protocols to improve the QoS performance of multicast routing in newlinemultirate MANETs. newlineIn DSM protocol, delay will be considered as major aspect to construct a multicast newlinetree which does not maximize the QoS guarantees of the network. So, this research work newlineaims to resolve this issue by introducing a new method called QoS-Satisfied Multicast newlineusing Multiple rate (QSSM-M) routing protocol. This QSSM-M is integrated with an newlineadditional QoS metrics like bandwidth, packet dropping rate and jitter in which each newlinemulticast tree can satisfy the predefined rate of the QoS demands. This protocol reduces newlinethe overall latency and bandwidth usage of each node while ensuring QoS to a requested newlinetraffic flows. newlineIn QSSM-M, different QoS parameters were taken into consideration to construct newlinemany multicast trees and select the path for data transfer according to their QoS demands. newlineOn the other han
