Abstract: The present thesis entitled Development of new synthetic protocols for the synthesis of some bioactive scaffolds under greener conditions comprises of two parts --- Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. The entire thesis is summarized as follows: Chapter 1 is related to literature reviews and contains four sections whereas Chapter 2 is based on original research work. Chapter 1 describes the catalytic activities of four different metal-free organocatalysts. Viz., camphor sulfonic acid (CSA), p-sulfonic acid calix[n]arenes, p-dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA), Saccharin (1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one-1,1-dioxide). Chapter 2 describes synthesis of diverse biologically promising scaffolds by using metal-free organo-catalysts such as mandelic acid, itaconic acid or camphor sulfonic acid under various reaction conditions. newline
