Agriculture plays a vital role for providing food to second largest population of the world. The newlineexponentially growing population, changing feeding habits, stagnation in agriculture newlineproductivity and high pre- and post-harvest losses are the biggest challenges for assuring food newlinesecurity. Agrochemicals as a plant protection tool play a major role in increasing the agricultural newlineproductivity by protecting crops from the menace of pests and diseases. However, their newlineexcessive use leads to the problems of pesticide residue in food and feed, environmental newlinepollution, pest resistance, killing of non-targets including natural enemies etc. which is a serious newlineconcern for the human health and environment. The thesis entitled Persistence, dissipation newlineand risk assessment of Picoxystrobin and Propiconazole on Wheat and Tebuconazole on newlineCabbage under subtropical condition of India deals with consumer safety and safe use of newlinepesticides. newline
