Abstract: Multilevel DC-AC (Direct Current Alternating Current) converters are the current industry solutions for applications that demand medium voltage, reasonable efficiency, and high power quality. Proper operation of these types of power converters requires special control and modulation methods. Primarily multilevel DC-AC converters are known to have output voltages with more than two levels. Multilevel DC-AC converters are grabbed attention in recent years because of their flexibility and ability to produce output waveforms in very near sinusoidal while the number of levels increased. As a result, the DC-AC converter output voltages have reduced harmonic distortions with high-quality waveforms. A good number of multilevel DC-AC converter topologies have been proposed during the last two decades. Recent research has engaged new converter topologies and unique modulation schemes. newline
