dc.description.abstract | The research work carried out on the topic of Investigation on preparation and characterization of Sn, Mn and co-doped ZnS nano Quantum Dots is elucidated in six chapters. The first chapter comprises the growth of research. Nanotechnology transferred from the research labs to consumer use, motivated by responsiveness to societal challenges such as sustainability, energy generation, conservation, storage, conversion and improved healthcare at the lowest cost with more accessibility. It explains the importance of finding the novel composition that is to be made available for the applications, by the proper literature survey. Chapter two explains the availability of various methods for the preparation of nanoparticles. It compares the detailed procedures adopted by the researchers for the synthesis of various nanoparticles. It also enables the selectivity of the particular method for the present work. Particularly, the preparation of nanoparticles by co-precipitation method. The tools and techniques involved for characterizing the synthesized materials were explained clearly. newlineThe third chapter elucidates the preparation of Sn doped ZnS Quantum dots prepared using the co-precipitation method at room temperature. The NPs were synthesized with different molar concentrations, by stoichiometric proportions. Analysis was made on various parameters such as PXRD, EDX, SEM, FTIR, UV - Visible and PL spectral analysis, and electrochemical studies.
