Abstract: | An substantial upsurge in urban region on vehicular network applications were numerous vehicles are in need of uninterrupted bandwidth results in deprivation of networking channel due to over congestion. Furthermore, this study endorses that major part of wireless spectrum is underutilized and those radio spectrums is idle in maximum duration. Henceforth, Cognitive Radio (CR) offers a practical findings for spectral consumption problem. Concerning vehicular network, the CR permits opportunistic bandwidth practice, in accordance with operative use of Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC) or other pertinent communication medium. On the other hand Cognitive Radio in the vehicular communication is a comparatively novel research technique; nevertheless this investigation suggests that the amalgamation of cognitive radio towards vehicular communication is directly not feasible. newlineHenceforth, cooperative communication provides ample prospects towards designing an effective the spectrum supervision functionalities in vehicular communication through Cognitive Radio. However in static cognitive radio communication scenarios, the vehicular communication substructure requires multiple collaborating vehicles that can inter change spectral data to attain information on the available spectrum capabilities. The above mentioned scenario enables additional vehicles in the network to take adaptive and proactive measures according to spectral characteristics. In general, cooperative vehicular communication based on cognitive radio technology would augment better-quality performance which emphasis the cognitive and cooperative intelligences in several vehicular applications perspective. newline |
