Hybrid multicast secure and reliable route optimization algorithms for manet using meta heuristic approach

Abstract

The Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a self-organizing mobile newlinenode system that communicates with one another via wireless connections. It newlinehas no centralized management like base stations or access points. In newlineMANET, node works both as hosts and routers to forward packets and all newlinenodes are mobile. newlineMulticast is the simultaneous delivery of messages or information to newlinea group of destinations via routers in a single transmission, only incase, the newlinenetwork topology requires it. Major constraints in designing multicast routing newlinealgorithm for MANET are Dynamic Topology changes, Limited Resource, newlineReliability, Node Mobility and Security. newlineNowadays Bio-inspired algorithms are attracting more important to newlinesolve optimization problems. In MANET optimizing performance metrics is a newlinetrivial issue that can be solved by various bio inspired algorithms such as newlineGenetic Algorithm (GA), Bacterial Foraging Optimization (BFO), Artificial newlineBee Colony Optimization (ABC), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and newlineParticle Swarm Optimization (PSO). newline
