Abstract: | In Vehicular Ad hoc Networks VANETs Road Side Units RSUs play an anchor role in facilitating information associated with emergency messages accidents and traffic jams to drivers in real time The development of RSUs placement strategies is essential since RSUs are expensive and deploying them in suitable places necessitates cost efficiency An optimal RSUs placement technique is essential for restricting the number of RSUs to improved coverage in the road intersections of VANETs It needs to focus on the process of determining potential candidate locations over which RSUs can be placed for reducing the number of units required to be deployed The core objective of optimal RSUs placement approaches need to identify the most appropriate locations in which it can be placed for guaranteeing network connectivity range of transmission minimized packet loss rate and minimized delay in transmission In this research work three novel optimal RSUs placement approaches using the merits of Chew First CDT refinement method Ruppert s CDT refinement method and Chew First CDT refinement method is proposed for minimizing the RSUs cost minimizing end to end delay with maximized global network coverage area This scheme adopted the strategies of SAW TOPSIS and COPRAS to achieve superior RSU selection during the process of reliable data delivery in V2I communication newline |
