Abstract: | Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are necessary for newlinedeveloping intelligent robotic systems and they play an important role in the newlinedevelopment of robotics applications. Moreover, feature selection, newlineclassification and fuzzy rule based decision making are necessary to build newlineintelligent robots. The medical assistive robots are useful to the society since newlinethey directly involve in the provision of medical services to the geriatric for newlinecarrying out their day to day activities fast and more efficiently. Feature newlineselection reduces the data dimension by eliminating the non-contributing newlinefeatures like noise, database attributes with null values and the attributes that newlineare not important for a classification problem. Information gain or information newlinegain ratios are used in feature selection models to select the most contributing newlinefeatures to the classification process. The information gain ratio is calculated newlineby the ratio between the information gain and the intrinsic value. newlineNatural Language Processing (NLP) is an important component of newlineArtificial Intelligence since it makes the computers to understand the human newlinelanguage through various phases involved in the processing. In robot control, newlineNLP is more useful to control the robot giving commands in natural language. newlineMoreover, NLP provides great assistance to Human Computer Interaction newline(HCI) and hence it is more suitable to perform robot arm control through newlinenatural language commands in the form of speech. The commands given in newlinevoice format are converted into text format through speech processing newlinealgorithms. In medical applications like provision of medical assistance using newlinerobot arm control, natural language processing can be used for solving the newlinecomplex work of controlling the robot arm by the elderand#8223;s instruction or newlinecommands. newline |
