Abstract: | A conveyor system is a continuous system for haulage of the bulk newlinematerials. Conveyor systems allow quick and efficient transportation for a newlinewide variety of materials, which make them very popular in the material newlinehandling and packaging industries. Recent developments in conveyor newlinegalleries is the usage of tubular conveyor gallery, which offers many newlineadvantages when compared with conventional enclosed conveyor gallery such newlineas, it protects from the spillage of materials, protects the conveyor and newlinewalkways from the adverse weathers conditions and also it provides better newlinestability newlineThis thesis work focuses on the experimental and analytical study newlineto understand the behaviour of Tubular Conveyor Galleries (TCG) of different newlinespans with different opening sizes subjected to bending under static loading newlinethrough Physical and finite element model study. The performances of the newlinegalleries are determined under bending and the results were compared. newlineIn order to understand the influence of the opening in the TCG newlineunder bending, nine specimens were tested by varying the opening sizes and newlinelength parameters.
