Abstract: | This study deals with the assessment of teaching learning process in selected schools of Vadodara, Gujarat. The evaluation of online teaching raises unique questions that newlineadministrators, faculty, and IT leaders often don t have guidance or experience in resolving. Most learning management systems (LMS) now record every click that students and faculty members make. In wake current Pandemic created by COVID-19, it became imperative to adopt for evaluating online teaching - learning process. This was a descriptive study that found the assessment or evaluation practices prevailing in the newlineupper Primary classes i.e. Standard 5th to standard 8th in the schools of Vadodara, Gujarat. It had both qualitative and quantitative approach. A survey was conducted to get the relevant data on assessment practices of different schools of different government bodies. Teaching practices of the teachers were closely observed to study the learning outcome of the students. Syllabus newlineplanning was closely observed. Objectives of this study were to review the teaching learning practices in Self-financed and newlineFunded (Government/trust) schools, To assess the tools used in teaching learning process and their utility, To assess the perception and experiences of teachers and students for teaching learning assessment practices based on standardized parameters and Analysis of teacher competencies and feedback evaluation for teaching learning and assessment system. Five English medium schools (Sadhu Vaswani Vidhya Mandir, My Shannen School, Gurukul Vidhyalay, Shri Swami Vivekanand School and The Bright School) and Five Gujarati medium schools (Swami Vivekanand Primary School, Kavi Premanand Primary School, Pujya Dongreji Maharaj Primary School, Kavi Dula Kag Primary School and Maa Bharti Primary School) participated in our study. |
