dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Ayurveda is based upon basic concepts like Panchamahabhoota, Tridosha, Saptadhatu, Trimala. Dosha predominant at the time of conception decides the Prakruti or constitution of the person. Prakruti remains unchangeable or constant for lifetime. Prakruti is further classified into Deha Prakruti, Manasa Prakruti, Bhautika Prakruti and Jatyadi Prakruti. Deha Prakruti is of 7 type viz.: Ekadoshaja (Vataja, Pittaja and Sleshmaja), Dwidoshaja (Vata-Pittaja, Pitta-Sleshmaja and Vata-Sleshmaja) and Samadoshaja (Vata-Pitta-Sleshmaja). Deha Prakruti denotes not only physical characters but also psychological nature of an individual. Various Deha Prakruti persons are endowed with different strength, procreation capacity, accessories of life, wealth, newlinespiritual knowledge, materialistic knowledge, peace and longevity etc. Prakruti is the newlineimportant individualistic entity which makes a person to respond differently to the similar external or internal stimuli. Thus it can impact various physical and psychological newlineparameters. Medha is one of the psychological characters denoting the power to grasp the newlineexperiences or knowledge and recalling that retained knowledge as it is when needed. newlineIntelligence is the ability to learn, understand and think. Intelligence quotient is the measure of intelligence. Medha can be correlated with intelligence. As per classical texts of Ayurveda, Medha is mentioned to vary with Prakruti. So, this study was designed to assess the relationship between intelligence quotient and Deha Prakruti. Aim: To assess the interrelationship between Intelligence Quotient and Dosha Pradhana Deha Prakruti newlinein apparently healthy individuals.
