Abstract: INTRODUCTION: The quality of the life depends upon the optimal status of blood components as it is considered as fluid of life since it carries oxygen from lungs to all parts of the body and carbon dioxide from all parts of the body to lungs. It is also known as fluid of growth as it carries nutritive substances and fluids of health since it protects the body against the diseases. Blood homeostasis newlinedecides other tissue nourishment and functionality of the organs when it is in its normalcy both by quality and quantity.1 newlineThe disease named Pandu roga is described by the all Acharya separately with their newlineetiopathogenesis and treatment. Charak Acharya has mentioned it, in category of Ras Pradoshaj Vyadhi2 and Santarpan JanyaVyadhi. Sushrut Acharya has mentioned it as the newlineRaktaPradoshajVyadhi3 as well as Apatarpan Janya Vyadhi Pandu roga is explained with their signs and symptoms may be correlated with Anaemia by its clinical features. Even though five types of pandu i.e. Vataj, Pittaja, Kaphaja, Sannipataj, Mrudbhakshanjanyaare mentioned the complete cure of the disease by Ayurvedic medicine is not practiced due to the difficulty in the assessment and confirmation of the type of the pandu. Numerous single and compound drug treatment modalities mentioned in the classics for Pandu Roga can be best utilised if the modern investigative methods are used to bridge the gap between the Pandu roga and Anaemia. Hence this study of utilization of blood indices to diagnose types of newlinepandu roga is taken up. AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: 1. To diagnose the types of Pandu roga based on classical signs and symptoms. newline2. To observe the blood indices with respect to different types of Pandu roga SAMPLING SIZE: 500 patients STUDY DESIGN: An Observational study. METHOD- Patient will be screened for the possible registration.
