dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Dosha Dhatu Mala is the root factors of living body. All are having equal newlineimportance as they are greatly important for origin of the body, stability and unhealthy newlinecondition of the body. Their balanced state blessed body with health and when they get newlinevitiated; can be produced disease. Dhatu are the body entity which provide stability and newlinestrength and also nourishes the body. Sarata denoted for the supreme quality of the Dhatu. newlineSara is excellence state or essence of the Dhatu3. It means particular Dhatu should having qualitatively, quantitatively and functionally excellence. Rakta Sara individuals are endowed with Snigdha (unctuousness), Tamra (red), Shreemat (glistening) and Bhrajishnu (shiny) ear, newlineeye, mouth, tongue, nose, lips along with having Sukham (pleasure); Medha (intelligence), Saukumarya (delicacy), Anatibalam (moderate strength), Klesha-Asahishnu (intolerance for stress), (exertion) and Ushna-Asahishnu (hot environment). Medha is faculties of Buddhi and comprehensive concept described in Ayurveda literature. Medha is an unobstructed and uninterrupted perception and retention of the knowledge in all the aspects of an object. Due to its wide meaning; it can be correlated to intelligence. Intelligence is described in Raktadhatu Sara person in the form of Uddhatam Medham . So, this study was designed to assess the relationship between intelligence quotient and Rakta Dhatu Sarata. newlineAim: To Assess Relationship between Medha and Rakta Dhatu Sarata of Medical Faculty newlineStudents With Special Reference to Intelligence Quotient. Materials and Methods: Volunteers studying in the Parul University Campus, Vadodara were screened for the status of health with a tool for the assessment of health status by selfreporting prepared by CSIR Ayurgenomics Unit-TRISUTRA, CSIR-IGIB, and New Delhi. 500 apparently healthy volunteers were included in the study. | - |
