Abstract: India will be the biggest share of energy demand growth at 25% over the next newlinetwo decades and will be the third biggest energy consumer by 2030 overtaking newlineEuropean Union as per the International Energy Agency (IEA). Meeting this huge newlinedemand is very difficult with the conventional sources and push for renewable energy newlineis a must. The depleting fossil fuels, serious environmental concerns and abrupt newlineclimatic changes have opened the doors for the development of clean and green newlineenergy for sustainable development and growth using renewable resources. newlineAgreements have been signed by many countries at different platforms across the newlineworld to reduce global warming/Greenhouse gases. Sustainable development agenda newlinefor 2030 adopted by the United Nations Organization (UNO) in 2015 provides a newlineblueprint for the prosperity of the people and the planet. There are 17 Sustainable newlineDevelopment Goals (SDGs) proposed by UNO for all the countries to address in newlineunison with global partnership and SDG -7 is affordable and clean energy. SDG-7 has newlineto be addressed immediately for the sustainable development, growth and move newlinetowards carbon neutrality. India is gifted with sufficient Solar and wind sources newlinewhich can be used for power generation thereby relying on the thermal power plant newlinecan be reduced. National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) proposed that 302 GW of newlinepower can be generated from the wind and MoP is working on the same. On the newlinesimilar lines National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) in association with MoP and newlineMinistry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is ready to setup 100GW of solar newlinePV by 2022.The ever growing population in India, peak energy demand, newlineelectrification in terrain regions and relying on Thermal Plants are some of the factors newlinewhich serve as a motivation for this work. newlineThe extending growth of oil demand and carbon emissions have created a huge newlinescope for Electric Vehicle (EV) usage across the globe which has resulted in
