Abstract: Software Industry has come a long way from the earlier stages. It has blossomed into a big matured industry today, supporting millions of people in employment. As in any industry, quality of the product delivered is a cause for significant concern in software industry. There are many documented approaches for maintaining the quality of software products developed. The available software products are being used in many spheres of life. Embedded Systems is a branch that specializes in offering solutions combining hardware and software in a product. This research is about different steps, followed in ensuring quality of the highest standards in such a product. Globally, Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) has become a de-facto standard for the manufacture of components for OEMs. Many critical issues are associated with the incorporation of modifications suggested in parts to be manufactured. For many OEMs as the modifications are to be incorporated in the drawings through software. Generally, it is found that there are frequent changes suggested by OEMs, and the manufacturing organizations have to include such changes regularly. For incorporating the required changes, CAD / CAM software is used, and the modified code is transferred to the manufacturing machine for completion of manufacture. For a long time, a need is envisaged for making the modification facility available in the manufacturing system to carry out the changes suggested by OEMs. A suitable embedded system has to be developed for the implementation of this facility. newline
