EDUCATIONAL VALUES AND IDEAS CONTAINED IN THE LITERATURE of FAKIR MOHAN SENAPATI

Abstract

In the later part of 19th century four great contemporary Odia Litterateurs, namely, Radhanath newlineRai, Madhusudan Rao, Gangadhar Meher and Fakir Mohan Senapati played a commendable role not only newlinefor the upliftment and enrichment of Odia Language and literature but also contributed to the field of newlineEducation with new thoughts and ideas. Radhanath Rai and Madhusudan Rao worked in the department newlineof education in different capacities and so they could contribute to the field of education. Fakir Mohan newlineSenapati and Gangadhar Meher were not directly associated with the education of the time. However their newlinecontribution to the field of education cannot be ignored. The ideas on education contained in their newlineliterature are highly relevant and significant even in the present educational context. A number of newlineresearches have been conducted to study the educational contributions of Radhanath Rai and Madhusudan newlineRao, but so far no substantial research work has been conducted to evaluate the educational ideas present newlinein the literature of Fakir Mohan Senapati. Yet the literature of Fakir Mohan Senapati contains invaluable newlinephilosophical educational ides, which need to be studies in proper perspective. Hence the present study : newline
