Abstract: newline VANETs (Vehicular Ad hoc Networks) are becoming increasingly prevalent because newlinethey increase efficiency when transferring data and improve security needs. Some of the newlineVANETs trustworthy applications include calamity alert, road transport, dangerous location newlinealert, monitoring traffic, etc. Routing and data dissemination algorithms have to be expounded to newlineget the maximum benefits of VANETs. The video streaming is also important aspect in the newlineVANETs. To enhance the effectiveness of video streaming over the VANET platform, a suitable newlinerouting protocol is required. VANET routing protocols include dynamic MANET (Mobile newlineAdhoc Network) on-demand, Adhoc on-demand distance vector, and dynamic source routing. newlineThe performance of these protocols is good, but they do not adjust the delay which occurs when newlinethe packets are transmitted. The linking of the network topology and network parameters is an newlineimportant factor for developing an appropriate routing protocol for VANETs. Multipath routing newlinein VANET is executed by swarm intelligence in a few systems. The routing protocols are newlinedeveloped by Ant Colony Optimization, and particle swarm optimization algorithms in VANET newlineand the geographic routing protocol are implemented in VANET. newlineUsing the adaptive geographic routing method, the VANET is first modeled to calculate newlinethe number of video transmission routes. Moth Search (MS) and Whale Optimization Algorithm newline(WOA) algorithm is integrated to form MWOA (Moth Whale Optimization Algorithm) and used newlineto explore the multiple paths. Parameters such as delay, distance and Quality of Service (QoS) newlineare considered to find the fitness measure of the proposed work. The path which has a lesser newlinedistance, QoS, the delay is selected to transmit the video. HEVC encoder is used for encoding newlineand packet transmission happens through the multipath that is selected optimally. A video alert newlineor text message is sent to the vehicles as a warning signal, showing situations such as steep turns newlinein the road. VANET faces many troubles when transmitting the video. Video streaming not only newlineallows for data dissemination to passengers, but it also allows for driving via a separate text newlinemessage. This thesis is concerned with development of new routing algorithm and to study newlineapplications of these algorithms for video streaming.
