dc.description.abstractElectromagnetic waves are essential for the modern world to function, which are newlinecategorized by wavelength and include gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet, visible light, newlineinfrared, microwaves, and radio waves. Several devices in microwave communication newlineand sensor design are explored, but 1D (One Dimensional) PCs (Photonic Crystals)- newlinebased microwave filters and sensors have received widespread acceptance due to their newlinesimple manufacturing method and feasibility. The photonic structures have recently newlinedemonstrated their usefulness in breaking the diffraction limit, opening up a new newlineopportunity for super-resolution microscopy.
