Globally, millions of people are affected by serious skin damage due to diabetic foot ulcers, burns, injuries, etc. and the management of wound care is a billion-dollar economic problem. Allograft, xenograft, and autografts are commercially existing skin alternates for wound dressings. The limitation of commercially available skin grafts are at very costly, limited availability, immune response sensitivity, possibility of disease transmission and affects many cell functions such as proliferation, adhesion and growth. newlineElectrospinning is an easy and versatile technique to synthesize nanofibers (NFs) using natural as well as synthetic polymers. Nanofiber (NF) has an extensive range of applications in tissue engineering, drug delivery carriers, enzyme immobilization scaffolds, dental materials, medical implants, antibacterial agents, and wound dressing due to its high surface area, superior thermal and mechanical properties and three-dimensional microporous structure. Other than biomedical fields, NFs are used in the field of energy, semiconductors, water purification, and protective materials newline
