Abstract: Issues related to women have gained a worldwide significance. More often, do we come across instances where women are reported as the sufferers of the stressors they are exposed to since the beginning of their life. These stressors can come in various forms. Some of these stressors are unexpected and some are made for the women exclusively, especially the ones designed by our society-such as taking care of domestic chores, taking care of baby, husband, family etc. Despite these stressors women are seen not objecting rather embracing it gracefully. This can both be taken positively, speaking on lines- how strong and determined a woman is, embracing the challenges of life and negatively, when we find women compromising way too much and that is reflective in the ways they are being treated. Cases of women being domestically abused, women suffering from serious physical as well mental ailments, women not being recognized professionally, women being dependent (emotionally, financially) etc. flashes every now and then. This thesis is an attempt to decode the issues and challenges of the women. Simply, by providing it with a new meaning and understanding. Past researchers have spent several decades in providing meaning to how and why women feel the way they do. On the contrary, researchers of the present thesis, while reiterating the concept of Cinderella complex are proposing the concept of women s psychological dependency syndrome Cinderella complex as a means of providing sane meaning and understanding of what majority of women are facing in today s time and world. The attempt to push forward the concept with empirical evidence is to prove that women are suffering from this complex which needs to be brought in their conscious state, if they want to elevate their status in society. The complex, if gains the adequate light can bring the changes in life of women who are otherwise seen struggling. One of the major objectives of the researcher was to develop a tool Cinderella Complex that can help the practitioner
