Abstract: | Effective utilization of solar energy is one of the major sustainable newlinesolutions to meet ever-increasing energy demand in various applications. newlineExternal type compound parabolic concentrating (XCPC) solar collectors newlinehave received greater attention in recent years owing to the non-requirement newlineof the complex tracking mechanism. These XCPC collectors exhibit superior newlineperformance while integrated with Thermal Energy Storage (TES) system, newlinereducing the mismatch between the demand and supply in various newlinecooling/heating applications. Identification of significant operating newlineparameters in the design of the XCPC solar collector is crucial for achieving newlinethe targeted performance, which necessitates the optimized design of the newlineXCPC collector. This can be attained through parametric studies of XCPC newlinecollector using the statistical analysis of simulated results.
