Abstract: | Recently researchers have emerged on the idea of finding a cure for fibrotic disorders which is an extremely critical disease with an unknown cause Chronic fibro proliferative diseases are a highly unmet medical condition causing an increased amount of deaths in the western world A present scenario portrays the development of antifibrotic drugs only for specific organs with a low therapeutic efficacy Scientists are currently exploring the frontiers of interacting varied small molecules such as polyphenols polysaccharides cisplantinpolyalcohols antibodies etc Though these small molecules are widely reported and highly researched in literatures, an idea to inhibit the selfassembly process of collagen with the specific group of small molecules from different families was to observe its tuning pattern and to inhibit its excessive accumulation by a selective interaction processTo address the above mentioned issue four different small molecules were selected which is trigonelline hydrochloride TGH belonging to pyridine family Alphalipoic acid ALA from unsaturated fatty acid family theobromineTB belonging to purine family and thymoquinoneTQ from quinone family for the initial experiments involving the designing of a series of composites Composites were patterned with various small molecule compositions creating a welldefined mode of altering the self-assembly process via varied secondary and covalent interactions newline |
