dc.description.abstract | Pesticides are one of the important inputs in agriculture to prevent the crops from pest attacks diseases and to improve the productivity of crops The application of pesticides during cultivation and storage period leads to pesticide contamination in fruits and vegetables The consumption of pesticide contaminated fruits and vegetables leads to deleterious health effects to human The main objectives of the work were to evaluate the efficiency of plant extracts such as Tamarindusindica Azadirachtaindica Albiziaamaraand Acacia concinnaon the removal of multiple pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables and to evaluate the effect of chitosan on the removal of multiple pesticide residues in fruit juice The method for quantification of multiple pesticide residues in vegetables fruits and fruit juice sample was validated according to SANTE 11813 2017 guidelines The pseudo first order and pseudo second order kinetic models were used to evaluate the rate of adsorption The phytochemical constituents and antimicrobial activity of plant extracts were analysed The preliminary phytochemical screening of Tamarindusindicaextract TIE Azadirachtaindicaextract AIE Albiziaamaraextract AAE and Acacia concinnaextract ACE was showed the presence of alkaloid carbohydrates flavonoids glycosides phenolics saponins tannins terpenoids and fatty acids newline | |
