Abstract: | A major problem to be tackled is the health and destruction of the environment related to polluting substances. Materialists have also engaged in removing the toxic synthetic fibers and finding new renewable, safe and eco-friendly fibers to prepare a fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite material. By using natural fillers and natural fibers, the bonding strength of the polymer matrix composite material can be improved, which increases the strength and modulus according to the design criteria. Natural fibers originating from different plants, most fibers have been examined and shown to have desirable properties, such as jute, hemp, cotton, sansevieria, sisal, ramie and banana, and are readily available at lower prices. Similarly, Cissus Quadrangularis Stem Fiber (CQSF) is potentially strong and has good physicochemical and mechanical properties. In the present study, the CQSF reinforced with epoxy matrix composite is prepared using the hand lay-up method, and the various properties such as mechanical, thermal and tribological are studied for the prepared composite materials. Red mud and Coconut Shell Ash (CSA) powder are used as filler material to improve the performance of the composite materials. Cissus quadrangularis is an evergreen climber growing to 5 m (16 ft) by .5 m (1.6 ft) at a fast rate. Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil. So, India is more suitable for cultivating this plant. The CQSF is extracted from the stem of the Cissus Quadrangularis (CQ) plant by using the microbial degradation technique. The extracted fibers are cut into an optimum fiber length of 40 mm. The CQSF length of 40 mm and content of 30 wt.% reinforced with epoxy matrix composite material is considered as a base material.
