Introduction: Roga are Aparisankheyaya with multiple cause and symptoms. History taking, newlinephysical examination and also laboratory investigations plays a key role in diagnosis of disease. Prameha with Pratyatma Lakshana as Prabhoota Avila Mutrata is a Tridoshatmaka Vyadhi with Kapha Dosha Pradhanyata and one among Asthamahagadha s. It is a Chirakaaleena newlineVyadhi which is Anushangi in nature with Bahudrava Shleshma Dosha Vishesha and classified under Santarpanajanya Vyadhi. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characterized by derangements in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. It is a clinical condition characterized by increased blood glucose level (hyperglycemia) due to insufficient or inefficient insulin. When we ponder Prameha Vyadhi, Mutravaha Srotas is invariably and also drastically newlineeffected which can be understood starting from its Pratyatma Lakshana, Poorvaroopa, newlineSamprapti and also its types. Basically 3 types of Prameha which has been mentioned in newlineclassics has to be understood as Avasthas or stages of the disease ultimately landing up in Madhumeha. In Madhumeha all the Dravadhatus in reference to Kapha from Shareera gets excreted through Mutra. There is a significant change in physical constitution, chemical contents and biochemical properties in such Mutra. The abnormal metabolic admixture of Dustadosha, Pradushtadhatu with Mutra is nothing but Pradusthita Mutra or Saama Mutra. Therefore there is a extra addition of Ama and its constituents to Mutra which make Mutra turn newlineAvila. GFR (Glomerular filtration rate) is considered as the best indicator of overall kidney function and therefore its assessment has become an important clinical tool in daily patient care. GFR is the amount of glomerular filtrate per unit time by all nephrons of both kidneys. Normal value of GFR is 125ml/min. A stepwise increase in nitrogenous constituents of blood like urea, creatinine etc and other biochemical parameters like albumin, electrolytes etc also believed to reflect deteriorating kidney function.
