Abstract: | The eyes are said to be most important than all other Sense organs . They are considered as reflector of the mind. It is unique organ in the body where the course as well as patho-physiology of disease process is visible, effect of therapeutics agent can newlinevery well be assessed and if needed documented. Ayurveda, one of the ancient science has described Netra with its Sharira, Netrarogas and their Chikitsa in Shalakya tantra. Acharya Sushruta has given preference to eye in five Dyanendriya and has described diseases of eye and their treatment at the starting of Uttartantra. The research in Ayurveda is being carried in different institution all over India in special attempts to Timir with different similar references. The present study is step ahead newlineto find out the remedial measure for the problem in a broader subject of Refractive errors and Presbyopia. According to modern medical is concerned, the treatment is mainly newlinedirected to spectacle correction, contact lenses or Refractive surgery. Ayurveda has mentioned some therapeutics remedies for the management of Timir. The response of the medication can be easily assessed with the help of modern science because of this reason Timir on a broader way as Refractive errors and presbyopia has been selected for present study. The compound drug Pushpa Varti and Krishnadya Taila has been selected for newlinethe trial becauseof its description in and in Yogratnakar Netrarogachikitsa under Krishnagatrog chikitsa, and Sharangadhara Samhita 13/82-84 in the treatment of Timir newlineroga The study was planned in three phases: 1. Diagnostic phase 2. Interventional newlinephase and Assessment Phase. In the current study total 368 patients were considered. Out of which in group A, 124 patients, group B and Group C 122 patients each. there were 3 newlinegroups- Group A (Pushpa Varti Anjana), Group B (Krishnadya Taila Nasya), Group C newline(Pushpa Varti Anjana and Krishadya taila nasya). |
