Abstract: Human Resource Management is a function which has evolved over a period of time. To enable employees with the required skills and competencies, by adopting right Training and Development Methodology, is one of the most important HR Agenda in current times as we see businesses facing more and more volatility. A prudent Training Philosophy and a well-developed Training and Development Plan, helps an organisation to continuously grow its people, meet their aspirations and help them achieve their career growth through continuous learning. It also supports Organisations goals and vision by identifying the existing knowledge and skill gaps in the organisation and bridging them, thereby helping the Organisation get future ready. newlineThe increasing complexity and the volatile market scenario, makes it difficult for Organisations to always get the right people at the right time. To ensuring business continuity and meet its changing demands, it is imperative that Organisation invests in the Training and Development of its people and prepare them for future scenarios. In the present scenario of fast changing technologies and business scenario, it is imperative for organizations to build upon new skills. New Skills can be infused into an organization through fresh recruits with the desired skill sets and shunning employees with obsolete skill set or developing new skill set in the exiting employees through training. Though in both ways huge cost implication is involved, but in the latter case employee satisfaction is increased there by leading to higher productivity. Training and development is also a powerful retention tool, as employees highly appreciate the interest and investment made by the Organisation in their long term development. newlineEvery organization should have the employees, who are capable to swiftly adjust in continuously fluctuating business environment. Today most of the companies are investing a lot of money on the training and development of employees to remain competitive and successful.
